JIIA has established a membership system for corporate and individual members to garner support for its activities and funding therefore from the broader public. The institute presently has approximately 150 companies as corporate members and approximately 800 researchers and other persons as individual members. Anyone with an interest in international affairs and in agreement with the objectives of JIIA is welcome to become a member. Members enjoy a variety of benefits, including invitations to forums, use of the members-only section of the JIIA website, and access to the JIIA Library. Please see below for further details.

Full Individual Membership ('A' Membership)

	The annual membership due is 10,000 yen.

			JIIA Forums feature distinguished speakers from Japan and abroad who address germane issues and offer insights on international relations and Japanese foreign policy. These Forums are held approximately twice a month.

				Published since 1960, Kokusai Mondai is a leading Japanese-language journal of scholarly analysis of Japanese foreign policy and international affairs. It is published online ten times a year.

• Membership dues are considered donations to the Japan Institute of International Affairs and will be applied to expenses incurred in conducting research on international affairs and diplomacy. JIIA has been designated a "specified public interest corporation" under the Income Tax Law, and donations made to JIIA are eligible for favorable tax treatment, i.e., declaring these donations on income tax returns will entitle donors to income tax deductions/refunds.
