Mr. Daniel Mandell is a Visiting Research Fellow at The Japan Institute of International Affairs, and a Council on Foreign Relations/Hitachi International Affairs Fellow.  His research focuses on the current geopolitics of the Pacific region.  He is also a U.S.-qualified attorney with publications on a variety of legal topics
