Dr. Thomas S. Wilkins is a Senior Fellow (non-resident) at The Japan Institute for International Affairs in Tokyo. He is normally based as a Senior Lecturer in International Security at the University of Sydney, Australia. He specializes in security issues in the Asia Pacific region, and has published widely on this subject in leading academic journals. His latest monograph publication is entitled: Security in the Asia Pacific: The Dynamics of Alignment (Lynne Rienner Press, 2019).
