President Sasae noted that the main topics of discussion over the two days of deliberations on aspects of "a world in turmoil" were Russia's invasion of Ukraine, China's attempts to change the status quo, conflicts in the Middle East, and the US presidential election. He stressed that, in a world of such uncertainty, it is imperative not to overreact but to overcome the challenges by marshaling the wisdom of the democratic camp.
