The Japan Institute of International Affairs (JIIA) held the 12th JIIA-KINU Conference on October 22, 2025, in Seoul, ROK. This Conference has been held since 2014 with the Korea Institute for National Unification (KINU), the Republic of Korea (ROK).

Experts from both Japan and the ROK, headed by Mr Tomoyuki Yoshida, Chef Executive Director of JIIA and Dr. Kim Chun-Sig, President of KINU, participated in this discussion and exchanged views on (1) Trends in North Korea's domestic and foreign policies and prospects, (2) Exploring the direction of Japan-ROK cooperation after the inauguration of Lee Jae-myung administration"
