  • Ms. Nguyen Thai Yen Huong (VIETNAM) was with the North American - European Division, Institute for International Relations. Her research topic was "The United States, Japan and Southeast Asia after Cold War."

  • Dr. Azizov S. Shodmonkulovich (UZBEKISTAN) was with the Uzbekistan Institute of Strategic and Regional Investigations . His research topic was "The Japanese Factor in the Development of Central Asia: Prospects in Uzbekistan - Japanese Relations."

  • Dr. Lam Peng ER (SINGAPORE) was with the Department of Political Sciences, National University of Singapore. His research topic was "Japan and the Spratlys Dispute : A Case Study of Tokyo's Post Cold War Foreign Policy Aspirations and Limitations."
