Research Centers / Research Projects
Within JIIA, research centers have been established, each founded with distinct objectives and functions. These centers conduct research, disseminate information, and provide policy recommendations. Furthermore, they promote research and projects that respond to changes in the international landscape, particularly from the perspective of the Asia-Pacific region, diplomacy, and security.

Directorate for Research and Programs
Through research and analysis on foreign policy and national security, we formulate and advocate policy proposals aligned with Japan's strategic interests.
Center for Disarmament, Science and Technology (CDAST)
We support the development and operation of Japan's domestic framework for implementing the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT), as well as Japan's proactive diplomacy in the field of disarmament.
Center for Territory and History
We conduct research on Japan's territory, sovereignty, and history, and disseminate our findings both domestically and internationally.
JIIA Platform
Through dialogue and collaboration among industry, government, and academia, we advance proposals for national strategies that Japan should pursue.
JIIA Center for Global Outreach (CGO)
Global Outreach (CGO) is a new platform designed to strategically enhance Japan's presence and engagement with the international community.
The Council for Security Cooperation in the Asia Pacific (CSCAP)
We are an international organization that conducts research and analysis on security issues in the Asia Pacific region and offers policy recommendations.
The Pacific Economic Cooperation Council (PECC)
We are an organization that promotes stregthening international cooperation in the diverse Asia-Pacific region by fostering collaboration among industry, government, and academia.
