Dr. Do Duc Dinh (VIETNAM) was with the Institute of World Economy, Vietnam's National Centre for Social Sciences. His research topic was "Vietnam - Japan Economic Relations on the Rise."
Ms. Nguyen Thai Yen Huong (VIETNAM) was with the North American - European Division, Institute for International Relations. Her research topic was "The United States, Japan and Southeast Asia after Cold War."
Dr. Azizov S. Shodmonkulovich (UZBEKISTAN) was with the Uzbekistan Institute of Strategic and Regional Investigations . His research topic was "The Japanese Factor in the Development of Central Asia: Prospects in Uzbekistan - Japanese Relations."
Dr. Lam Peng ER (SINGAPORE) was with the Department of Political Sciences, National University of Singapore. His research topic was "Japan and the Spratlys Dispute : A Case Study of Tokyo's Post Cold War Foreign Policy Aspirations and Limitations."
Dr. Piotr A. Ogrodzinski (POLAND) was with the Polish Institute of International Affairs. His research topic was "Security of the Republic of Poland in the Euro-Asiatic Dimension."
Mr. Jorge Tigno (PHILIPPINES) was with the Department of Political Sciences, University of Philippines. His research topic was "ASEAN Labor Migration Policies : Strategic Implications for Japan in Southeast Asia."
Prof. Khereid Jamsran Bayasakh (MONGOLIA) was with the School of Foreign Service, National University of Mongolia. His research topic was "Sandwiched Mongolia between Two Great Powers : Russia and China."
Dr. Ali Hasan (MALAYSIA) was Faculty of Economics & Administration, University of Malaya. His research topic was "The Japanese SMI's Human Resource Development."
Mr. Savitakhounov Jyldyzbek (KYRGHZSTAN) was with the Economic Department, The State Administration of Bishkek. His research topic was "Industrial Policy of Japan and Its Lessons for Kyrghyzstan."
Dr. Frank Umbach (GERMANY) was Federal Institute for East European and International Studies. His research topic was "Perspectives of Nuclear Disarmament - The Russian Debate on START-II and -III."
Dr. Marc Jeudy (FRANCE) was with the French Ministry of Defense. His research topic was "The Japanese Evolution Relating to the Involvement of Japan on the International and Regional Scenes."
Ms. Michaela Zazvorlova (CZECH REPUBLIC) was with the National Czech Republic Railway. Her research topic was "The Problem of Long-term Japan and Kazakhstan Cooperation."
Mr. Ni Feng (CHINA) was with the Institute of American Studies, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. His research topic was "The Current Relations between Japan and the United States."
